Established in 1954, Nimule National Park is located on the border with Uganda and covers approximately 540 square kilometers. It is a great stopping point if you’re entering South Sudan from Uganda.
The park is relatively well-developed due to its proximity to the capital and is home to leopards, baboons, zebras, and various antelope species.
You can observe these animals on guided tours within the park or by boat to Obekoloi Island, where you can see large herds of elephants and a few predators.
