Al-Sunut Forest

Al-Sunut Forest is one of the most beautiful forests in Sudan, located in Khartoum, and has been a nature reserve since 1939. The forest is home to a variety of herbs and plants, particularly large trees and the famous acacia trees, which are well-known in Sudan for producing high-quality wood used in making Acacia doors. These trees have been mentioned in many literary works, symbolizing history, authenticity, beauty, and quality.

The forest is also home to a variety of local and migratory birds, such as gulls, geese, ducks, herons, and birds that build their nests in the trees, adding to the forest’s aesthetic appeal. Additionally, it hosts various wild animals and serves as a unique recreational spot, organizing numerous celebrations and family and public events. Al-Sunut Forest is also an excellent destination for tourist trips, offering a stunning view of the White Nile.
